Vascular Surgery

Vascular surgery has undergone many changes and innovations within the past decade, which has significantly improved the outcome of peripheral vascular diseases. As a result of these advancements, patients now have improved quality of life. Vascular conditions that were once deemed inoperable or untreatable are now being treated successfully allowing patients to live their lives without feelings of fear or hopelessness

We have a strong interest in peripheral vascular disease and repair of aortic aneurysms in the chest as well as the abdomen. In many cases, abdominal aortic aneurysms can be repaired using a special covered stent placed through small incisions in each of the groin arteries (endovascular stent graft repair). One of our surgeons can discuss with you whether your aneurysm is better suited to this repair or the traditional approach through the abdomen. The large number of patients we treat for carotid artery disease allows us to perform carotid endarterectomy with outcome data significantly better than national averages. We perform arteriograms, angioplasties and surgical bypass operations for narrowed or occluded arteries in the legs and abdomen. Our vast experience with all of these treatment modalities makes us uniquely qualified to choose which option is ideal for each patient.
